Indonesia selects its delegates
Indonesia has selected its delegates for the 2009 Eco-Minds Youth Forum.

Desideria Cempaka Wijaya Murti

Desideria is a Social Science and Politics student from the Atmajaya University of Yogyakarta.
She has been involved in many sustainable development projects, for example Stitching Help, a Dutch Foundation project which supports post-earthquake rehabilitation in Yogyakarta.
The project aims to improve the quality of education through providing free educational services, in collaboration with a Dutch vocational school. Desideria’s application essay looked at collaboration between the community and government in relation to bio fuels.
 
Danang Ambar Prabowo

Danang Ambar Prabowo is studying Marine Science and Technology at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Bogor Agricultural University.
He is actively involved in national and regional scientific and social activities. For example, he has been recruited by the Surfactant and Bio-Energy Research Center as a researcher.
Recently he has become vice coordinator of the marine micro-algae, bio-energy development division.  His application essay looked at Indonesia’s energy system, its development, problems and solutions.
 
Pradygdha Kumayan Jati

Pradygdha is studying mechanical engineering at the Bandung Institute of Technology. 
His experience includes working on a project that looked at various municipal waste processing technologies for Bandung. The aim was to gain a perspective of the environmental impact and economical prospect of each method for the city.
His application essay looked at ways in which rural people could be encouraged to use sustainable energy sources.
