Thailand announces delegates
Thailand has announced two delegates to represent the country at the Asia Pacific Eco-Minds Youth Forum in Auckland and Rotorua, New Zealand.
Sitta Marattanachai (top) and Suchawan PhuttakunSitta strongly believes that sustainable energy development in Thailand must come from efficient management, together with economical use of energy from all people living in Thailand. Furthermore, new technology for energy development should be promoted to give a better understanding of what can be achieved in the future.
Suchawan Phutthakun is a third year student of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies. She has taken part in many types of environmental activities such as a bird conservation camp and reforestation. Currently, Suchawan is a committee member of an academic department responsible for a bird project. She enjoys getting to know new kinds of birds and learning about their lives.
In terms of a perspective on energy, she is all for uses of alternative energy, particularly biofuel in Thailand, because it is the right answer for sustainable development and an improved standard of living.
